Engstlenalp Schwing- and Alpine Festival

On Saturday, August 2, 2025, Engstlenalp will once again be transformed into an impressive arena for one of the most traditional events in the Bernese Oberland. Since the 2000s, the Schwing- and Alpine Festival has been attracting numerous visitors with thrilling wrestling, traditional folklore and a genuine Alpine atmosphere at an altitude of over 1800 meters.

The roots of this unique festival go back to the 1950s - today it is an integral part of regional culture and a living part of Swiss tradition.

Tickets are available directly at the Engstlenalp box office. There is no advance booking; seats are not numbered.

Arrival by car:
From Innertkirchen in the direction of Sustenpass - after about 4 km turn left to Engstlenalp. From Wagenkehr there is a private road (CHF 10.-/vehicle, new collection just before Engstlenalp).

Arrival via Engelberg:
The TITLIS mountain railroads offer a special return trip from the Engstlen valley station to Engelberg at 19:30.
