Butterflies on the Hasliberg
The Hasliberg is an insider tip for various butterfly species. Due to the cultivation of agricultural land, most occurrences tend to be above the four villages (Hohfluh, Wasserwendi, Goldern, Reuti)
The Hasliberg offers an attractive habitat for butterflies in the varied landscape with its steep slopes and numerous rough pastures. The area extends between 1000 and 2400 meters above sea level and is mainly south and south-east facing. The intense sunlight and landscape diversity (alpine meadows, rough pastures and semi-arid meadows, mixed coniferous forests and forest clearings as well as hedges, moors and small natural streams) provide ideal living conditions for countless butterflies.
