"The Rubbernecks" rock the Häxächessel at Hasliberg
Saturday, March 20, 2027, starting at 1:00 p.m.
THE RUBBERNECKS deliver the ultimate in musical entertainment. The band from Lachen in the canton of Schwyz offers a wide repertoire of rock ’n’ roll, rockabilly, and country music—in short, COUNTRYBILLY—along with spectacular stage performances—the audience will never get bored.
It all began in 1983, when four amateur musicians holed up in a basement to breathe new life into the hits of Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, and Hank Williams. Just one year later, they left the rehearsal room and took to the stage.
In addition to the classics, the guys also shine with numerous original compositions, which have been immortalized on their five released CDs.
The band members of THE RUBBERNECKS knew from the very beginning that they wanted to revive the good old sound of the ’50s and ’60s. Hardly any other musical era has inspired audiences to dance and join in quite like this one. The friends stick together like glue—three founding members are still part of the band.
THE RUBBERNECKS can look back on a wealth of experience. With original shows, acrobatic bass solos, and a fiery piano, they win over every audience and have made a name for themselves far beyond Switzerland’s borders.
Highlights certainly include the gigs at the Donauinselfest in Vienna (A), the Mirande Country Festival (F), the Albisgüetli International Country Festival in Zurich, the Klewenalp Country Open-Air, the Rockabilly Meeting in Beckenried, the TV appearances on the shows “Samschtig Jass,” “Top of Switzerland,” and the live performance on SRF’s “Donnschtig Jass.”
They’ve also had the privilege of opening for legends such as Marty Stuart, the Bellamy Brothers, BR5-49, Gotthard, Marc Storage & Band, and John Carter Cash, as well as welcoming prominent audience members including Tina Turner and Larry Hagman (from “Dallas”).
Now YOU are eagerly awaiting THE RUBBERNECKS’ performance. Get ready for an entertaining concert.
The band is going to rock the stage...
